EcoLuxe Living is an 100% New Zealand owned and operated sustainable brand established in 2020 with the vision to offer homes and business with alternative options to single-use virgin plastics.

 

Our story began when founder, Wu Na, helped in her mother's florist store every summer during university breaks, and realised first-hand just how much single-use materials is used in the florist industry - from card board vox boxes for bouquet arrangements and plastic boxes for valentines roses, to plastic wrapping paper and organza ribbons - none of which are likely to be re-used by the end customer.  Knowing that there are limits to recycling and composting facilities in our beautiful country, Wu Na realised there has has got to be a better way for businesses to achieve their desired aesthetic look for their packaging without adding to our landfills by allowing customers to be able to re-use the products. 

 

Fast forward a number of years of working in technical and quality & food safety as well as becoming a mum, it wasn't until one day when Wu Na was buying shoes for her 3 year old at a local store and chatting with the store manager there about the amount of plastic packaging our food comes in these days - from bread, frozen vegetables, to meat, milk and more - combined with her passion for food safety especially for her family's health and wellbeing and knowledge of micro plastics in our oceans and lands and evidence of VOCs circulating in even our blood in our bodies - that she became determined to do something about it. She became determined to establish a business for homes and businesses that choose to invest in products that will last a lifetime - in a good way.
